Overview
This role is for an Associate Project Manager based in Stockton, CA. The assignment follows a hybrid setup, with on-site presence required 1 to 3 days each week at the Stockton location or other sites as needed.
Location Requirement

What the Role Calls For
The ideal candidate is someone who works well independently, builds strong working relationships, and brings solid experience in change management, including the creation of training materials and job aids. Strong communication, project coordination, and Lean exposure are also important.
Key Duties
- Set the project’s scope and expected outcomes.
- Create supporting materials such as cost-benefit analyses, detailed work schedules, estimates, resource plans, test plans, contracts, risk controls, change management plans, and communication plans.
- Secure project approval, authorization, and funding.
- Identify the staffing required and define each team member’s responsibilities.
- Guide team members, track progress, and run project meetings.
- Keep the project plan current, including risk, issue, change, and communication tracking.
- Make sure project needs, plans, and updates are shared with all affected stakeholders.
- Coordinate work across multiple teams, locations, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Oversee the integration of requirements and vendor-related tasks.
- Review vendor deliverables and monitor their progress.
- Measure milestones and report status to help ensure delivery on schedule and within budget while balancing scope, time, cost, quality, and risk.
- Identify issues, analyze problems, and drive resolution actions.
Skills and Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills are needed, along with excellent written, verbal, and presentation abilities. The candidate should be able to present status, issues, and updates clearly enough to support decision-making, facilitate group discussions effectively, and keep projects advancing. Comfort working with senior leaders and management is also important.
Preferred Background
Prior project management experience is preferred. A PMP certification is desirable. A bachelor’s degree in Management, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
