Auditor - Gold Loan

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Assess gold loan collateral by applying accepted valuation techniques.
• Carry out the necessary checks to confirm gold purity using all required methods.
• Ensure branch audits are completed within the defined turnaround time and quality expectations.
• Conduct regular monthly reviews of gold stock maintained at branches.
• Review prior audit reports, track compliance actions, and highlight any gaps or non-compliance.
• Check branch security arrangements during audits, including burglary alarms, CCTV, weighing scales, and other safety measures.
• Be prepared to travel to other states or locations for audits and related assignments.
• Provide training to branch staff on gold loan valuation to build basic awareness.
• Maintain honesty and integrity in all dealings and avoid any direct or indirect conflict of interest.
• Protect company property and assets issued for job duties.
• Use MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint effectively for documentation and reporting.
• Work with a strong sense of urgency and deliver results within tight timelines and challenging situations.
• Be willing to work extensively in the field and travel across the region at short notice.
• Handle additional tasks assigned by the department from time to time.
• Show managerial effectiveness and support team development in the same direction.
• Contribute to team strategy and help drive month-on-month business delivery.

Requirements

• Graduation in any of the following streams: Engineering, Technology, Mathematics, Commerce, Arts, Science, Biology, Business, Computers, or Management.
• MBA at the postgraduate level is required/preferred as mentioned in the source.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Readiness to travel frequently and work in the field across regions.
• High standards of integrity and the ability to handle demanding, deadline-driven work.
