Fresh Ideas is looking to add baristas immediately for both full-time and part-time schedules at Brescia University in Owensboro, Kentucky. This role focuses on preparing espresso beverages and related food and drink items, while delivering warm and efficient service in a fast-paced campus dining setting.

Work location and schedule

The position is based at Brescia University, 717 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42301. Applications are accepted online only. The typical operating window runs from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, and additional schedule details will be discussed during the interview.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare espresso beverages and catering drinks using standard recipes and measured portions.
• Enter customer orders correctly into the POS system and handle cash as well as card payments.
• Keep condiments, beverages, and other supplies stocked while maintaining a tidy service area.
• Follow food safety and HACCP standards, including correct portioning and serving temperatures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across equipment, tools, utensils, and the workstation.
• Prepare food using approved recipes and production standards.
• Keep display equipment clean and ensure presentation remains neat during meal periods.
• Welcome guests politely, respond promptly, and route customer concerns to a supervisor when needed.
• Serve customers quickly to reduce waiting time and keep service lines moving.
• Understand daily menu items well enough to explain them accurately to guests.
• Support sales by helping customers make informed purchase decisions.
• Present display food attractively and serve items neatly according to standards.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Required experience

Previous experience in barista work, customer service, concessions, and hospitality is required.

Compensation and perks
