Role summary
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, this position is responsible for supporting smooth, timely, and guest-focused food and beverage service while following the hotel’s service standards and delivering in line with each guest’s needs and the Mondrian Doha vision.
Key duties
- Prepare the bar for service and complete end-of-shift breakdown tasks.
- Clean and polish glassware to service standards.
- Mix and serve beverages with consistent quality, presentation, and accuracy.
- Keep the bar area organized and compliant with health and safety rules.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain bar inventory at required par levels.
- Understand how the restaurant, lounge, and bar operate and are set up.
- Stay fully familiar with the hotel’s beverage menus.
- Deliver courteous, professional, and welcoming service to every guest.
- Maintain regular and effective communication with management.
- Know all food menu items thoroughly.
- Set up tables before service and check them for readiness.
- Clear used tables and reset them promptly.
- Follow company procedures when serving beverages to guests.
- Follow company procedures when transporting food from the kitchen to guests.
- Keep restaurant tables, chairs, floors, and service stations clean and orderly throughout service.
- Finish all assigned cleaning tasks within the timeframes set by the company.
- Carry out all opening and closing duties correctly.
- Handle table maintenance efficiently and with confidence.
- Remain proactive, alert, and attentive at all times.
- Develop a strong understanding of all products and service processes.
