Basketball Front End Developer

Role overview

Pacers Basketball, LLC is looking for a Basketball Front End Developer to help build and support a modern, easy-to-use website. This role partners closely with the Basketball Systems Developer to turn data into polished web experiences using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python. The position is centered on front-end development, with responsibility for adding reports and components, fixing issues, improving page layouts, and keeping the site responsive across devices and browsers.

What you'll do

• Help create and maintain web pages with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python.
• Convert SQL outputs and design mockups or ideas into responsive, visually clean front-end features.
• Diagnose and resolve problems related to site behavior, layout, and design.
• Update existing front-end code as priorities change or feedback comes in.
• Test pages for performance and compatibility across browsers and screen sizes.
• Support fast, accurate data flow between the database and the website.
• Collaborate with the Basketball Systems Developer and other teammates to present data correctly and efficiently, including some involvement in data engineering and back-end design.

What we're looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, web development, information systems, engineering, or a similar field.
• 1-3 years of relevant front-end experience; internships or personal projects can also strengthen the application.
• Strong command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Interest in or exposure to Vue.js, with broader front-end framework knowledge seen as an advantage.
• Willingness to use or learn Bootstrap for responsive layouts and ready-made UI components.
• Working knowledge of Python and familiarity with SQL for front-end and back-end integration.
• Awareness of data engineering concepts such as ETL and idempotency.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for learning new tools, technologies, and frameworks.
