Role overview
We are hiring a Blockchain Platform Engineer for a growing team in Dublin. This position blends smart contract engineering with blockchain node and infrastructure operations, with a strong emphasis on dependable delivery, security, and scale for decentralized applications.
The role is based in Dublin city centre and is a permanent full-time opportunity.
What you will do
- Create, update, and support smart contracts using Solidity or comparable languages.
- Develop backend services that communicate with blockchain networks, including transaction submission, signing workflows, nonce handling, gas management, and Web3 SDK integration.
- Set up and maintain smart contract deployment workflows, covering version control, migrations, and upgrade plans.
- Apply secure design patterns and established best practices for decentralized application development.
- Deploy and run blockchain nodes and related infrastructure, including RPC services and validator nodes where relevant.
- Handle node upgrades, configuration changes across the network, and live production incidents.
- Build observability and operational tools for node health, RPC responsiveness, logging, and alerting.
- Tackle reliability issues such as chain reorganizations, finality, connectivity problems, and failover planning.
Profile
- Good grasp of blockchain fundamentals such as transactions, blocks, wallets and keys, gas and fees, RPC, and consensus basics.
- Practical experience building smart contracts in Solidity and using standard development frameworks.
- Familiarity with EVM-compatible or similar blockchain ecosystems.
- Strong foundation in software engineering plus infrastructure operations.
- Experience supporting production blockchain platforms or Web3 applications.
