Role Overview

Larsen & Toubro is looking for a meticulous CAD Engineer with solid experience in AutoCAD-based modeling, LISP scripting, and coordination across civil, structural, and architectural workstreams. The position involves producing technical drawings and 3D models while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and working closely with multiple engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Create, update, and oversee 2D and 3D AutoCAD models for civil and structural assignments.
Produce detailed drawing sets, including General Arrangement (GA) drawings, numeration drawings, and reinforced concrete (RC) detailed drawings.
Work in sync with structural, architectural, and MEP teams to keep designs aligned across disciplines.
Develop and maintain LISP routines to reduce repetitive work and improve drafting efficiency.
Where required by the project, prepare structural steel detailing drawings.
Check that all deliverables follow project standards, applicable codes, and client requirements.
Take part in design reviews and contribute technical suggestions to improve drawing quality and productivity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Hands-on professional experience using the latest version of AutoCAD in an engineering setting.
Working knowledge of civil and structural drawing conventions and standards.
Capability to contribute independently while also collaborating effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and time-management ability.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to structural steel detailing.
Knowledge of design platforms such as Revit, Navisworks, or SketchUp.
Experience on defense, infrastructure, or industrial projects will be considered an advantage.

Education

Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering.
