Role overview
This opening is for a Process Engineer who will support operations as part of the technical team. The position may be based in either the Chemical Plant or the Refinery.
Key responsibilities
The role involves providing process engineering support to plant operations, offering practical technical input for day-to-day issues, and contributing to unit optimization, troubleshooting, and de-bottlenecking work. The selected candidate will also take part in safety-focused activities such as risk assessments and HAZOP studies, while supporting reliability improvements and equipment strategy development.
In addition, the role includes analyzing complex technical challenges, identifying the main drivers behind issues, and recommending strategies that help resolve problems and support decision-making. The engineer will also help develop and execute ideas and projects aimed at improving margins.
Required profile
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized university. Fresh graduates and candidates without prior experience are welcome to apply.
Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal abilities are important. The role also calls for someone who can manage several tasks at once, coordinate across multiple interfaces, and prioritize work effectively. Familiarity with process modeling software and other technical computing or design tools used for hydraulic calculations, TRV relief, and related evaluations is expected. Knowledge of developing heat and material balances, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and equipment design specifications is also required, along with a solid understanding of relevant industry standards and process safety practices.
