Role Summary
The Chief Operating Officer role is a full-time remote position focused on managing daily operations and building operational excellence across the business. The person in this role will lead cross-functional teams, refine and standardize processes, and make sure service delivery, technology, and finance operations stay aligned with the company’s strategic priorities. This leader will create and implement operating plans, track key performance measures, and work closely with executive leadership to drive sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
In addition to leading core operations, the COO will oversee resource allocation, budget planning, risk oversight, and ongoing improvement efforts that strengthen both client experience and internal efficiency. The role also involves promoting a collaborative and inclusive workplace while supporting employee growth, talent development, and internal mobility.
Qualifications
Candidates should bring strong operations leadership experience, with proven ability to guide cross-functional teams and improve business processes. A solid background in strategic planning is important, along with experience connecting operational execution to long-term company goals. The role also requires financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and cost optimization. Effective leadership, mentoring, and people management skills are essential, as is the ability to build a high-performing and inclusive culture.
Additional Requirements
Experience in technology-enabled services or professional services is preferred, especially in finance, accounting, or a related field. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills are needed to succeed in a distributed remote setting. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related discipline is required, and an MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred.
