About the company
This opportunity is with a fast-expanding fragrance label headquartered in Kuwait that operates more than 170 stores across the GCC and is also growing beyond the region. The brand focuses on modern oriental fragrances tailored for both regional and international customers.
Role overview
The Chief Operating Officer will lead day-to-day business operations and performance, partnering closely with the CEO and leadership team to strengthen systems, standards, and execution for a business that has already reached scale and is still growing.
Responsibilities
- Oversee retail operations end to end across more than 170 outlets in the GCC.
- Improve store productivity, service standards, staffing structures, and overall customer experience.
- Build operational readiness, playbooks, and execution plans for new market launches and international growth.
- Ensure smooth omnichannel delivery across stores, e-commerce, and customer support.
- Drive performance management through KPIs, dashboards, and regular operating cadences across teams.
- Work closely with Commercial, Brand/Marketing, Finance, HR, and Digital teams to deliver aligned execution.
Requirements
- Background as a COO, VP of Operations, or Retail Director in a scaled consumer or retail organization, preferably in beauty, fragrance, fashion, or luxury.
- Demonstrated success improving operations in multi-country, multi-store environments with hundreds of locations.
- Strong GCC experience, with the ability to lead diverse teams across several markets while being based in Kuwait.
- A hands-on leadership style with close involvement in stores, frontline teams, and customer feedback.
- Strong ownership, concise communication, and the ability to bring different functions together around clear operational priorities.
