Role overview

This project-based opportunity is designed for specialists who want to contribute to AI development on a non-permanent basis. The work focuses on evaluating, testing, and refining AI systems used by major technology companies.

Project tasks

Depending on the assignment, contributors may be asked to:

Review AI-created auto insurance claim decisions for correctness, appropriate coverage handling, and compliance with regulations.
Create FNOL cases that include contradictions, misleading documents, and outdated records to challenge the system’s reliability.
Draft and assess fraud-detection scenarios using structured reason codes such as late claim reporting, recently issued policies, and conflicting damage details for SIU escalation.
Develop subrogation scenarios using state-level negligence rules, including comparative and contributory standards, to judge recovery potential.
Prepare well-documented test cases with accurate answers, policy references, and payout computations.

Candidate profile

This role is a strong match for professionals from insurance claims, legal services, or wider financial services backgrounds who are comfortable with part-time project work rather than a permanent role.

Requirements

A degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a closely related discipline.
At least 3 years of experience in insurance, claims, legal, or financial services work.
Recent or current exposure to claims, adjusting, or a closely related position.
Working knowledge of auto insurance coverage decisions, state negligence frameworks, and adjuster authority limits.
Strong written English at C1 level or above.
Professional certifications such as AIC, CPCU, CIFI, or SCLA are considered an advantage, but they are not mandatory if practical experience is strong.

Work model and time commitment

Participation is project-based rather than permanent employment. Active project phases are expected to take around 10 to 20 hours per week, depending on the project’s requirements. This estimate is not a guaranteed workload and applies only while the project is active.

Compensation

Contributors may earn up to the equivalent of $60 per hour, with pay depending on experience level and contribution pace. Compensation can vary from project to project based on scope, complexity, and expertise required.

Process

The general workflow is: apply, complete qualification step(s), join a project, complete the tasks, and receive payment.
