Role summary

This is a site-based cleaning position in Swinton and nearby areas, with hours that may vary from part-time to full-time. The Cleaner will help maintain tidy and hygienic spaces across assigned locations, including build cleans and sparkle cleans. The work involves carrying out routine cleaning tasks efficiently while following health and safety requirements and contributing to a small team.

Key duties

• Carry out general cleaning across assigned areas, including build cleans and sparkle cleans.
• Complete tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping down surfaces.
• Clean restrooms, kitchens, offices, and shared or communal areas as needed.
• Use cleaning tools, equipment, and materials safely and correctly.
• Work to cleaning plans and schedules while maintaining consistent standards.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene procedures throughout the shift.
• Collaborate with a small team to keep the environment clean and presentable.

Requirements

• A valid green CSCS card is required for on-site work.
• Experience in commercial or domestic cleaning, including both routine and deeper cleaning duties.
• Ability to follow instructions and cleaning schedules with strong attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene practices, including safe use of cleaning chemicals.
• Physical fitness to stand, walk, bend, lift light items, and perform manual cleaning tasks during a shift.
• A dependable and punctual approach, with the ability to work independently and professionally.
• Good communication skills and a respectful attitude toward colleagues and clients.
• Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities, different site areas, and occasional schedule changes.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete any required reference or background checks.
