Data Quality Analyst

Role Overview

Brainlake is hiring a practical, detail-oriented Data Quality Analyst in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on making sure data shown in dashboards, reports, and digital products is dependable, consistent, and accurate before it reaches users.

You will help safeguard business-critical reporting by checking that KPIs, analytical outputs, and report figures match approved business definitions and reconcile correctly across source data and transformed datasets. This position works closely with analytics, BI, product, and engineering teams to protect the quality of the data that supports decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Review data appearing in dashboards, reports, and web or mobile applications to confirm it is correct.
• Compare source records, transformed datasets, and final outputs to ensure they align.
• Check KPIs, metrics, filters, aggregations, and calculation rules used in reporting.
• Confirm that the same metrics remain consistent across different dashboards and reporting tools.
• Validate business rules and verify that published numbers follow approved definitions.
• Spot data mismatches and investigate issues before release.
• Support user acceptance testing for dashboards, reports, chatbots, and other analytical products.
• Serve as the final quality checkpoint before reports and dashboards are shared with end users.
• Record, monitor, and assist in resolving data quality incidents.
• Coordinate with BI developers, data engineers, and analytics teams to fix reporting problems.
• Document reconciliation rules, report logic, and validation workflows.
• Help strengthen reporting standards, validation checklists, and overall quality processes.

Required Experience and Skills

• 3 to 5 years of experience in data quality, business intelligence, analytics, or reporting assurance.
• Practical experience testing dashboards, reports, or BI solutions.
• Strong SQL skills for comparing, validating, and reconciling data.
• Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or comparable reporting platforms.
• Solid understanding of KPIs, metrics, business rules, and calculation methods.
• Exposure to enterprise data sources such as ERP, CRM, or HCM systems.
• Excellent analytical thinking and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to explain data issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong ownership mindset and commitment to accurate reporting.

Preferred Background

• Experience validating analytics for web or mobile products.
• Background in government or enterprise reporting environments.
• Familiarity with data governance, reporting standards, or data quality frameworks.
• Experience supporting executive-level reporting.
