About the Role
This opportunity is for a Data Science Intern within the Bachelor of Science in Wirtschaftsinformatik (Business Informatics) program. The selected candidate will support analytics and IT functions by working on data-driven solutions, exploring large datasets, and contributing to strategic business decisions. The role is designed to build practical exposure to data science in an insurance setting, with learning in data analysis, machine learning, and data visualization.
Qualifications
- You should currently be pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Wirtschaftsinformatik or a closely related discipline with a concentration in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a similar area.
- You need strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with a genuine interest in data analysis and machine learning.
- Programming knowledge in Python, R, or SQL is expected.
- Experience or familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms will be useful.
- You must communicate clearly and work well in a team-based environment.
- A self-driven attitude and willingness to learn quickly are important.
- Understanding of insurance concepts is an advantage, though it is not required.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and prepare large data sets so they are ready for analysis.
- Create and apply data models and algorithms that generate insights and help guide business decisions.
- Turn analytical findings into reports and visualizations that can be understood by stakeholders.
