Data Scientist

Role overview

This is a remote hourly contract opportunity for a Data Scientist based in the United States. The engagement is expected to run for 10 to 40 hours each week, with compensation set at $30 to $100 per hour.

What you will do

• Gather, prepare, and transform data from multiple sources so it is accurate and ready for analysis.
• Design, test, and deploy statistical and predictive models that support decision-making.
• Perform exploratory analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and potential business value.
• Build charts, dashboards, and reports for both technical teams and business audiences.
• Work with cross-functional partners to deliver data science projects from start to finish.
• Refine analytical approaches and introduce automation into data workflows to improve productivity.
• Present insights, conclusions, and recommendations clearly in written and spoken form.

What we are looking for

• Strong grounding in statistics, mathematics, and analytical methods.
• Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets, including cleaning and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Python, R, SQL, or comparable tools for data processing and modeling.
• Demonstrated experience creating and validating predictive and statistical models.
• Working knowledge of visualization tools such as Power BI, Matplotlib, or similar software.
• Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with careful attention to detail.
