Start times may be as early as 05:30 and finish times may extend to 12:00 midnight. Shift rotas are provided up to 13 weeks in advance.

The pay structure is lunar paid, meaning payment is made every 4 weeks in line with a monthly schedule. Hourly rates vary by day and shift, with premiums and overtime available. The advertised average earnings are around £30,100 per year, and the average hourly earnings can reach £14.47 with premiums included.

Responsibilities

• Deliver grocery orders to customers safely, on time, and with a friendly approach.
• Provide a good customer experience while representing the brand in a customer-facing role.
• Follow the planned route and complete deliveries efficiently using the company’s vehicle and systems.
• Handle deliveries in all weather conditions and maintain a professional standard throughout the shift.
• Manage interactions with customers from different backgrounds and communicate clearly when needed.

Requirements

• A full UK or EU driving licence is required.
• At least 12 months of driving experience is needed.
• You must have no more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
• You must not have been disqualified from driving in the past 5 years.
• You need to be over 18, as some deliveries may include alcohol products.
• Strong communication skills are important for this customer-facing role.
• No previous delivery experience is necessary; full training will be provided.

Working pattern and pay

The role includes evening and weekend work as well as weekdays. The pay rates are structured as follows: Monday to Saturday basic rate of £13.89 per hour, evening premium from 6pm of £15.01, Sunday day premium of £15.28, Sunday evening premium of £16.51, overtime Monday to Saturday day shift of £17.36, and overtime Monday to Saturday evening shift of £18.48.

Pay is calculated on a lunar cycle, meaning you are paid every 4 weeks under a monthly schedule.
