Design Engineer - HVAC

About the Role

Krishna Weather Systems is seeking an HVAC Design Engineer to support its commercial and residential air-conditioning projects. The position involves preparing technical designs, performing load calculations, choosing suitable equipment, and producing detailed layouts and estimates that align with project needs.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work on HVAC system planning and design for a variety of installations, while coordinating closely with internal teams to keep deliverables aligned with project requirements and timelines.

• Prepare HVAC designs for commercial and residential projects.
• Carry out heat load calculations.
• Select appropriate equipment for each project requirement.
• Develop ducting and piping layouts.
• Prepare BOQs and cost estimates.
• Use AutoCAD to create and refine technical drawings.
• Coordinate with project and sales teams during design and execution.
• Ensure all designs match project specifications and relevant industry standards.

Requirements

The role calls for a mechanical engineering graduate with hands-on HVAC design capability and working knowledge of common air-conditioning systems.

• B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with HVAC design, including heat load calculations and system selection.
• Ability to prepare duct and piping layouts, BOQs, and estimates.
• Familiarity with VRF, ductable, cassette, split, and chilled water systems is preferred.
• Comfortable coordinating with project and sales teams.
• Ability to work in line with project specifications and industry standards.
