Role Overview
ALBAIK is seeking a seasoned DevOps leader to join the development team and take ownership of DevOps strategy, cloud infrastructure, and deployment automation. The role focuses on building robust delivery pipelines, improving reliability, and driving continuous improvement across engineering operations.
What You Will Do
- Build, deploy, and maintain CI/CD workflows that support dependable, scalable, and secure software releases.
- Work closely with development and operations stakeholders to simplify release processes and strengthen service stability.
- Use infrastructure-as-code approaches, including Terraform, to automate provisioning, configuration, and scaling of environments.
- Monitor availability and performance, and help ensure strong incident handling and operational discipline across all environments.
- Embed security-focused practices into delivery and infrastructure processes, and contribute to DevSecOps, compliance, and governance efforts.
- Assess, propose, and integrate tools and platforms that improve DevOps capability and efficiency.
- Offer hands-on technical guidance and troubleshooting support for cloud, deployment, and infrastructure issues.
- Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure DevOps priorities support wider business goals and technology plans.
Candidate Profile
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is required.
- Applicants should bring 5 to 7 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering.
- Practical experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, container technologies, and cloud-native system design is needed.
- Strong background in CI/CD, release automation, observability, and infrastructure administration is expected.
- Good understanding of cloud operations, IaC, reliability engineering, performance tuning, and incident management is important.
- Exposure to DevSecOps, security automation, compliance controls, and infrastructure governance is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, HashiCorp tools, or similar areas are an added advantage.
Additional Information
This position is part of ALBAIK’s Development Team and is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role is full-time and on-site.
