Role overview
Statkraft is an international leader in hydropower and the largest renewable energy producer in Europe. Its portfolio spans hydropower, wind, solar and gas-fired generation, alongside global energy market operations. The company employs about 6,200 people across 20 countries.
The European Wind and Solar business area leads the development and ownership of wind and solar assets in Europe, while also overseeing project execution for major projects, group procurement and new business development.
Statkraft is looking for a Document Controller to support the Irish Project Delivery Team in Cork, Ireland. The team delivers large renewable infrastructure projects, including onshore wind, solar and battery storage across Ireland. The role reports to the Delivery Director for Ireland, and prior experience on construction projects is required.
What you will do
- Run the project document management platforms, including SharePoint, Interaxo and Sceptre, by setting up folder structures, assigning and removing user access, and maintaining the right permissions.
- Lead project kick-off sessions to show teams how to use the digital collaboration tools correctly and ensure everyone agrees on the process at project start and key milestones.
- Train employees and contractors on document control systems and provide day-to-day user support.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with Statkraft teams, contractors and consultants involved in the projects.
- Monitor, review, audit and improve document control practices from early project stages through completion and handover.
- Coordinate across departments so all project records are stored in the correct location and filing structure.
- Check, validate and control both electronic and paper archives where needed.
- Apply the company’s document and numbering standards consistently.
- Keep project documentation organised, traceable and properly managed.
- Oversee the review and approval flow for documents, including changes and updates.
- Make sure documents are accurate, complete and aligned with internal procedures and ISO 9001 clause 4.2.3.
- Support the handover of information to operations teams.
- Work with the Corporate Project Management Office to keep Irish processes aligned with corporate standards.
- Take on other tasks assigned by the line manager.
- Support any additional Document Controllers brought in for specific projects.
- Participate in Statkraft’s Document Manager Network to share lessons learned and contribute improvement ideas.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject is required.
- Background in documentation, archiving or a similar function.
- Previous experience on construction projects is essential.
- Strong spoken and written English skills.
- Well-developed organisation, coordination and communication abilities.
- A careful, systematic and analytical approach to work.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and deliver to deadlines and standards.
- Comfort working in a multinational environment and across cultural differences.
- Good computer skills, especially in MS Office.
