Drainage Advisor

Role Overview

Linum Consult’s client is looking to appoint a Drainage Advisor for its Doha, Qatar team. The role focuses on drainage planning, flood assessment, and technical support for land development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop drainage strategies and produce foul water, surface water, and SuDS design reports.
• Carry out Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) for planning submissions and due diligence reviews.
• Support drainage-related input across residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
• Liaise with authorities and external parties such as environmental regulators, water utilities, and local government bodies.
• Contribute technical expertise to environmental studies, planning applications, and master planning activities.
• Prepare commercial proposals, fee calculations, and project budgets.
• Keep project records accurate and ensure work complies with applicable legislation, standards, and guidance.

Candidate Profile

• A degree in Engineering from a North American, Western European, or Australian university, with accreditation from the Institute of Asset Management (IAM).
• Chartered status in a relevant discipline such as C.Eng, P.Eng, or P.E. is preferred.
• 30 years of experience in the wastewater sector, including at least 5 years in an Operations & Maintenance environment.
• Strong knowledge of international engineering standards and codes.
• Prior work experience in the GCC region is an advantage.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
