Electrical Site Engineer

Role Overview

An experienced Site Electrical Engineer is needed to support a project team in Sharjah, UAE. This role focuses on overseeing electrical works for building and villa construction projects, with responsibility for safe execution, efficient delivery, and adherence to approved project documents, local authority rules, and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day electrical installation activities at site for building and villa developments.
• Make sure all electrical works follow approved drawings, technical specifications, and the project timeline.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other trade teams to close out site-related issues.
• Carry out inspections and verify compliance with DEWA/SEWA requirements and UAE electrical standards.
• Assess shop drawings, material submissions, and construction method statements.
• Track site progress and compile daily and weekly progress updates.
• Review testing and commissioning work and support smooth project handover.
• Maintain compliance with HSE procedures and quality requirements.
• Diagnose technical challenges during construction and help resolve them promptly.
• Take part in site coordination meetings and provide technical input to the project team.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• At least 10 years of site supervision experience on building and villa construction projects is needed.
• Prior exposure to working with engineering consultants will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of UAE electrical codes, standards, and authority approval requirements is essential.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and project specifications accurately.
• Strong coordination, communication, and troubleshooting abilities are required.
