Role overview
Dawn Aerospace is hiring an ERP & Production Data Controller to take responsibility for the accuracy, structure, and movement of production and inventory information across its ERP environment. This position sits at the heart of the manufacturing function, helping engineering, production, and planning teams work from dependable, consistent, and current data.
You will make sure production orders are created and released correctly, and that the ERP system mirrors the true operational state of the business as it grows. The role involves close collaboration with Production Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, and Operations so that data stays aligned throughout the product lifecycle, from development through full production.
This is not a purely administrative data-entry position. The company is seeking someone who takes ownership, questions ambiguous inputs, and looks for better ways to support production through data.
Contract details
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role is mainly intended to refresh the existing system and establish the company’s future processes for data management. By the end of the project, Dawn Aerospace expects to have a clearer view of what ongoing support or additional roles may be needed to maintain the system or support other supply chain needs.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and maintain ERP master data such as SKUs, bills of materials, routings, and production structures.
- Keep production data aligned with the latest engineering definitions and shop-floor processes.
- Create and release internal production orders with the correct quantities, timing, and supporting information.
- Maintain labour standards, asset records, and other inputs used for planning and costing.
- Find, investigate, and resolve gaps, inconsistencies, and errors across connected systems.
- Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to clarify data that is incomplete or still evolving.
- Ensure the ERP reflects real material conditions, including quarantine, rework, scrap, and returns.
- Support planning, scheduling, and production execution through reliable data management.
- Continuously improve ERP workflows, data structures, and operational processes.
- Serve as the internal contact point for ERP data questions, issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Help move parts and definitions from R&D into production-ready data structures.
What the company is looking for
- A highly detail-focused person with a structured and logical way of working.
- Someone who takes ownership of data quality and can judge readiness confidently.
- Comfort working across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.
- The confidence to challenge information that is incomplete or not ready for production use.
- A practical approach that balances accuracy with the urgency of operations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to align different teams around shared data.
- Experience with ERP systems, manufacturing information, or production environments is preferred.
- An interest in aerospace, engineering, or fast-growing hardware businesses is an advantage.
Why join Dawn Aerospace
You will work where engineering and operations meet, helping ensure the data that powers production is as reliable as the hardware being built. Your contribution will directly affect manufacturing execution, scalability, and reliability across programs that operate in space.
This is an opportunity to influence how production data systems develop inside a rapidly growing aerospace company, while working closely with teams building and delivering real flight hardware.
Diversity and inclusion
Dawn Aerospace says it values diverse teams and is committed to an inclusive workplace where people from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences are supported and able to do their best work.
About Dawn Aerospace

The business currently focuses on three areas: in-space propulsion, in-space servicing, and spaceplane development. Its propulsion systems are used on more than 40 operational satellites, with over 170 units already deployed and another 200 in production. In-space servicing aims to support refuellable satellites and extend mission life. The spaceplane program is developing a high-performance aircraft designed to combine rocket propulsion with reusable aircraft capabilities for frequent, lower-cost access to sub-orbital space.
Dawn Aerospace has international teams across the Netherlands, France, New Zealand, and the USA.
