Role Overview
Autism A Chara (formerly Autism Initiatives Ireland CLG) is hiring a Facilitator for its day service in Bray, County Wicklow. This is a hands-on support role focused on person-centred assistance for people with complex needs. The position is identified by job reference FAC_BRAYS_2306.
What the Role Involves
The Facilitator will support people in their daily routines, help them participate in the wider community, and encourage skill-building and independent decision-making. The role also involves working closely around individual support plans and adapting communication to each person’s needs.
- Provide support with everyday living tasks, including personal care
- Assist people to take part in their community
- Encourage learning of new skills
- Support people to understand their rights and make their own choices
- Work with person-centred plans and programme planning
- Be able to work shifts on a rotating roster
Essential Criteria
To be considered, candidates must hold a full QQI Level 5 major award in Health/Care. A strong understanding of the Key Worker/Support Worker approach and the philosophy of supporting people with complex needs is also required. The role additionally calls for fluent English, strong communication skills, and the ability to work on your own initiative.

- Experience or familiarity with programme planning and person-centred plans
- Ability to work independently
- Fluent English and excellent communication abilities
- Availability for rota-based shift work
Desirable Requirements
A full clean Irish driving licence is desirable, as the job requires driving service vehicles. Permission to work in Ireland is essential.
