Facility Management Engineer

Role overview

This role is focused on keeping building services running smoothly, safely, and reliably. The Facility Management Engineer will help oversee day-to-day facility operations, carry out site checks, solve technical issues, and make sure all work aligns with quality and safety expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Track the condition of core building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection, and ensure they remain operational.
• Perform regular site inspections to spot maintenance requirements before they become larger issues.
• Evaluate and sign off on technical submittals, drawings, and maintenance methods where required.
• Liaise with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to manage corrective repairs and planned preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose equipment or system faults and advise on suitable corrective measures.

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving energy performance and sustainability.

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Facility Engineering. The position calls for 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in facility operations or maintenance engineering. A solid understanding of building systems and established FM practices is required, along with working knowledge of CAFM/CMMS platforms and engineering tools. Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and a practical approach to problem-solving are also important.
