Role overview
This position is based in Mississauga, Ontario, at Nissan’s head office and follows a full-time hybrid setup with four in-office days each week. It is for an existing opening, and no sponsorship is available. The role centers on improving Nissan Canada’s vehicle profitability understanding by combining financial analysis with data science methods. The successful candidate will help strengthen COP/CMP-I analytics, forecasting, and decision support through modeling, automation, and insight generation that supports more predictive business outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of COP and CMP-I analytics and improve them through automated reporting and data-led models.
- Build and maintain analytical dashboards and tools to monitor monthly and quarterly product profitability trends, using Power BI, Python, or similar platforms.
- Use predictive and diagnostic methods such as trend analysis, variance breakdowns, and scenario modeling to identify what drives profitability.
- Work with cross-functional partners to turn complex datasets into clear, practical recommendations for pricing and incentive effectiveness.
- Assist with pricing and new model evaluations by combining financial modeling with market, sales, and incentive information to improve CMP-I results.
- Support budgeting and forecasting by applying analytical techniques such as regression and sensitivity analysis to COP and CMP-I projections.
- Improve automation and processes to reduce manual work while increasing accuracy and consistency in reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to strengthen data availability, data quality, and governance across operational and financial data sources.
- Support MTP and C&I work by running scenario simulations and advanced analyses to assess financial impact.
What the company is looking for
The ideal candidate brings 2 to 3 years of experience in finance, analytics, business intelligence, or a data science-related role, along with a four-year university degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. A strong base in financial analysis, forecasting, and business planning is essential, along with strong problem-solving ability. Advanced Excel modeling and Power BI dashboarding are mandatory. Exposure to Python, SQL, or other analytics tools is strongly preferred, as is experience working with enterprise platforms such as SAP or Hyperion and large datasets. The role also requires the ability to apply data science approaches in a business setting, including trend modeling, scenario analysis, and basic predictive analytics.

Salary information
The base salary range for this grade level is CAD 67,497 to CAD 83,412 per year. Bonus pay, benefits, and other variable compensation are not included in this range.
