Role Overview

Workstream is hiring a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and outcome-focused Founding Recruiter to join the AI Agency startup it is building. This will be the first recruiting hire dedicated to helping scale the organization.

This position offers the chance to build recruiting from the ground up in a fast-moving AI startup. As the first recruiter, you will help shape how the company finds, engages, and hires exceptional people. You will work directly with founders and business leaders to define recruiting strategy, build hiring processes, and establish best practices that can support long-term growth.

The role is best suited for someone with a staffing or agency recruiting background who enjoys zero-to-one environments, thrives under pressure, and is energized by proactive sourcing and talent pipeline creation. You will handle the full recruiting journey, from outreach and sourcing to offer acceptance, while acting as a strategic partner to hiring managers and leadership.

Unlike a conventional corporate recruiting role, this position calls for a strong hunter mindset. You should be motivated by ambitious hiring targets, direct candidate outreach, and building pipelines from the ground up. In addition to hiring, you will help shape recruiting operations, influence strategy, and contribute to the culture of a company at an early but exciting stage of growth.

Location and Work Setup

This role is based in Lehi, Utah, and requires onsite work three to four days each week. The position also notes a willingness to work from the Lehi office five days per week.

What You Will Do

  • Run end-to-end recruiting for a range of functions and seniority levels.
  • Find, approach, and nurture candidates through outbound recruiting efforts.
  • Develop and maintain strong talent pipelines using LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, networking, and inventive sourcing methods.
  • Create outreach messaging and campaigns that improve candidate response and conversion rates.
  • Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates based on role expectations and company fit.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to clarify hiring needs, align on ideal profiles, and support decision-making.
  • Monitor recruiting funnels, hiring metrics, and pipeline health.
  • Operate with urgency to meet demanding hiring goals and timelines.
  • Prepare recruiting reports covering performance, pipeline status, and hiring forecasts.
  • Ensure candidates have a strong experience throughout the hiring process.
