Role overview
The Global CIO is a full-time remote leadership position responsible for shaping and executing Nova Credit’s technology direction worldwide. The role covers IT operations, infrastructure, security, and enterprise systems, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and regulatory compliance. It requires close partnership with senior leadership to align technology priorities with business goals, advance digital transformation, improve business processes, and manage budgets and vendor relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Set the global technology strategy and maintain a practical roadmap for IT across all regions.
- Oversee core IT functions, including infrastructure, cloud, support services, security, and enterprise applications.
- Ensure systems and processes meet operational, compliance, and industry requirements.
- Work with executive leadership to guide digital transformation and technology-enabled growth.
- Evaluate, introduce, and scale modern tools, platforms, and architectural approaches.
- Manage IT budgets, external partners, and vendor performance.
- Lead distributed teams, while coaching managers and strengthening team capability.
- Put strong cybersecurity, governance, and risk controls in place and keep them continuously improving.
- Improve the quality and efficiency of services delivered to internal users and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Deep experience in information technology and enterprise IT leadership.
- Hands-on knowledge of IT operations, including infrastructure, cloud environments, security, and support.
- Ability to build and execute an IT strategy that supports growth and innovation.
- Experience improving business processes for better efficiency, scalability, and service quality.
- Exposure to financial services or fintech, with familiarity in data governance, compliance, and security standards.
- Proven success leading global or distributed teams with strong people management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including interaction with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
