About the role
The GRC Project Manager (PMO) is a key member of the Governance, Risk & Compliance team, responsible for driving the planning, coordination, and execution of major GRC programs across the Group. The position focuses on delivering governance structures, risk initiatives, compliance projects, policy updates, and operating model changes in line with business priorities and agreed timelines. It requires a seasoned project management professional with hands-on exposure to governance, risk, compliance, PMO, or transformation environments, along with the confidence to work with senior leaders and teams across functions.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain project plans, milestone schedules, and delivery roadmaps for GRC-related initiatives.
- Track progress, dependencies, risks, and outputs across several workstreams.
- Lead coordination for the rollout of governance frameworks, policies, SOPs, and compliance programs.
- Oversee external consultants and vendors to ensure quality outcomes are delivered on schedule.
- Assist in implementing GRC target operating model initiatives.
- Support the design and deployment of governance frameworks, Delegation of Authority structures, policies, and procedures.
- Promote collaboration across business units to support adoption of GRC initiatives.
- Prepare executive-level dashboards, progress updates, and presentations for senior management.
- Serve as a bridge between GRC leadership, internal business teams, and external advisors.
- Identify, monitor, and escalate risks and issues, including practical mitigation actions.
- Support governance committees, steering committees, and cross-functional project meetings.
- Track budgets, consultant costs, and resource utilization for projects.
- Assist with procurement activities for GRC tools, systems, and professional services.
- Coordinate with Finance, HR, and business stakeholders on project staffing and resource needs.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Risk Management, Engineering, or another relevant discipline.
- 7 to 10 years of overall professional experience, with at least 5 years spent in Project Management, PMO, Governance, Risk, Compliance, or transformation programs.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-wide initiatives and working with senior stakeholders.
- Professional-level fluency in both English and Arabic.
- PMP, PgMP, or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification is mandatory.
- CGRC or a similar recognized Governance, Risk & Compliance certification is preferred.
