Head of Data Intelligence & Analytics

Role Overview

Doha Bank is looking for an accomplished technology leader to guide its Data Intelligence & Analytics function. This position plays a key role in defining the bank’s data environment, strengthening architecture and governance, and enabling insights that support decision-making across all business areas.

What You Will Do

• Shape and drive the organization-wide data strategy in coordination with the CDIO.
• Direct the architecture and rollout of scalable data platforms and technology solutions.
• Put in place data governance structures, standards, and policies, and ensure they are followed.
• Manage enterprise data integration, migration, and automation programs.
• Build secure, high-performing data foundations that meet business and regulatory expectations.
• Work closely with IT and digital transformation teams to expand analytics capabilities.
• Convert business needs into technical data designs and architecture plans.
• Ensure the bank remains aligned with QCB and other regulatory requirements through effective data controls.
• Encourage innovation by introducing new technologies in data and analytics.
• Lead and coordinate a cross-functional team of data engineers, architects, and analysts.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a similar discipline is required.
• A master’s degree in Technology, Data Science, or Management is an added advantage.
• At least 15 years of experience in banking or financial services, with strong exposure to data architecture, technology platforms, and governance.
• Demonstrated success in leading enterprise data initiatives and delivering scalable data solutions.
• Solid knowledge of big data ecosystems, cloud environments, and data security practices.
• Strong command of data governance, metadata management, and regulatory compliance requirements.
