Housekeeper/Janitor

Overview

Nicola Valley Shelter and Support Society is looking for a dependable Housekeeper/Janitor to help keep its facilities clean, orderly, and well cared for. This role is focused on maintaining guest rooms, shared spaces, and other areas of the property while also handling laundry support and basic stock control. The right person will be detail-oriented, work well in a busy setting, and complete tasks efficiently.

What You’ll Do

• Clean guest rooms and shared areas by dusting, vacuuming, and replacing linens.
• Support laundry duties and help track inventory levels.
• Keep the work area tidy, organized, and ready for daily use.
• Alert the relevant team members when repairs, damage, or maintenance concerns are noticed.
• Work in line with all safety rules and sanitation standards.
• Take on additional tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of experience in housekeeping or a similar position.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage several tasks at once and stay productive during busy periods.
• Comfort working efficiently in a fast-moving environment.
• Basic math ability.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, onsite role based in Merritt, British Columbia, Canada.
