Role overview
This is a remote, full-time helpdesk role supporting roughly 60 to 80 end users across several client accounts. You will manage everyday IT issues, help onboard new employees, and ensure smooth operations within an Office 365 environment. The client will provide training on its tools and workflows, while expecting dependable communication, strong ownership, and follow-through.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support requests involving hardware, software, connectivity, and peripherals.
- Prepare workstations and user accounts for newly hired employees at client locations.
- Provide support for Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and One.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to printers, VPN access, and authentication.
- Maintain accurate and current ticket logs, documentation, and asset records.
- Travel onsite occasionally when a remote fix is not sufficient.
What the role requires
- 1 to 2 years of experience in IT support or a helpdesk environment.
- Strong spoken English for direct communication with US-based clients in a professional setting.
- Working knowledge of Windows and the fundamentals of Office 365.
- Availability aligned with the Chicago time zone (CST) and full-time working hours.
- A proactive, responsive attitude with the ability to take responsibility without repeated follow-up.
- CompTIA A+ or Microsoft 365 certifications are considered an advantage, though not mandatory.
Additional information
This is a remote position based in the United States. The client will train you on its internal tools and procedures, but expects you to bring reliability, clear communication, and a strong sense of ownership to the role.
