Janitor

Role Overview

Bay Area Enterprises is seeking a Janitor for its Brookings, OR location. In this role, you will serve as a visible representative of the company at each worksite while delivering dependable, high-standard cleaning services. The position calls for someone who works carefully, notices small details, and takes pride in maintaining clean and safe environments.

Key Duties

• Carry out routine janitorial work, including cleaning restrooms and removing trash.
• Use required personal protective equipment and follow established safety practices.
• Apply health, sanitation, and waste-disposal standards correctly, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and solvents.
• Run and care for janitorial equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, polishers, and supply carts.
• Move and handle heavy items using safe lifting and transport techniques.
• Complete repetitive cleaning tasks such as sweeping and mopping floors.
• Use suitable stain-removal methods when cleaning surfaces and materials.
• Identify conditions that could create public safety risks.
• Review and follow operating instructions, policies, and procedure manuals.
• Take part in monthly meetings and department training sessions.
• Perform other assigned tasks needed to support departmental and organizational goals.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license or dependable transportation is required.
• Candidate must be able to successfully clear federal, state, and local background checks.
• A drug screening is required, including random testing; THC testing is not included.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform moderate physical work is necessary.
