Position summary
Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, the Housekeeping/Laundry Aide is responsible for washing linen and clothing items and making sure they are returned to the correct locations or residents in clean, presentable condition.
Key duties
- Process laundry items according to facility needs.
- Ensure linens and clothing are cleaned properly and delivered back to the appropriate areas or residents.
- Maintain item condition so everything is returned in excellent shape.
Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Must demonstrate patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive approach when working with elderly and disabled individuals.
- Capability to meet all essential job functions, including the physical and sensory demands required for the role.
