To help deliver this agenda, the Cargo Product team in Doha is hiring a Load Master Officer. This role is intended for someone who is adaptable, proactive, and ready to contribute to operational excellence across freighter activity.

What the job involves

In this position, you will travel to different freighter stations, both online and offline, to carry out safe and efficient operational tasks. Your work will include turnaround activities such as PDU/CLS operations, cargo unloading, loading, and securing freight correctly.

You will also prepare load sheets and loading instructions for freighters to the required standard. When the weight and balance system is unavailable, you will ensure the aircraft is still loaded in a way that delivers the best possible performance in line with the Weight and Balance Freighter Manual.

Key duties

• Step in to support outstations when local staff are unavailable or short-handed.
• Keep track of Weight and Balance Freighter license renewal and revalidation steps, ensuring all licences remain current at all times.
• Travel to freighter destinations without operational coverage and release flights when needed, including being available to move to any station directed by your supervisor.
• Share observations with management on ramp operations at outstations, including any service gaps or issues with Ground Handling Agents across the network.
• Help maintain strong on-time performance for assigned turnarounds in coordination with Ground Handling Agents and regional teams.
• Assist with cargo build-up for remote stations, charter services, and offline locations.
• Act as the operational liaison between FCLC and IOC for remote, charter, or offline stations.

Qualifications and experience

The ideal candidate should have either a high school diploma with at least 4 years of relevant work experience, or a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, preferably in STEM, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Load Controller.

Hands-on freighter operations experience is required, with specific exposure to 777F and B747-8F aircraft. You should also have practical aircraft loading experience and knowledge of aircraft compatibility requirements.

Additional knowledge in DGR, I-AR, IATA regulations, and load control procedures is expected. Supervisory skills training would be an advantage.

A valid and acceptable Load Control licence for wide-body aircraft is also required.
