Maintenance Planner

About the role

Raytheon Australia is expanding its team and is looking for a Maintenance Planner to support a critical mission system at the Harold E. Holt Defence Precinct. In this position, you will report to the Senior Maintenance Manager and help coordinate maintenance activities for essential defence infrastructure.

The role is attached to the HEH Defence Precinct in Exmouth, Western Australia, which supports major systems including the Space Surveillance Telescope, C-Band Radar, and Very Low Frequency radio transmission capability. These systems contribute to Australia’s space domain awareness and battlespace awareness missions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prioritise maintenance activities using the appropriate scheduling and planning tools.
• Assemble executable work packages, including arranging the required parts and services.
• Make sure maintenance records and certifications are completed in line with approved processes and maintenance management standards.
• Work alongside Maintenance and Operations Supervisors to help monitor and control the effectiveness of maintenance processes.
• Prepare ad hoc reports from Maximo, the CMMS, for customer and internal management requests.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Planner in heavy industry, fleet, or aviation settings.
• Hands-on experience with Maximo, SAP, or a similar maintenance management platform.
• Solid understanding of technical equipment maintenance; a trade or engineering qualification is preferred.
• Strong customer orientation and the ability to use planning skills to produce effective maintenance or operational outcomes.
• Comfortable using maintenance or asset management systems, Windows, and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.
• Must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and meet ITAR material access compliance requirements.
