Role Summary
The Program Manager will deliver high-quality program services through coaching, professional learning facilitation, and close collaboration with school and district partners. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
The role calls for strong organization, adaptability, collaboration, and a clear commitment to improving teaching practice and student learning.
Key Focus Areas
This position centers on teacher coaching, instructional expertise, and adult learning design. The work involves supporting coaching inquiry cycles, creating and facilitating professional learning, maintaining partner relationships, and helping strengthen systems and processes that support scalable partnerships and measurable impact.
Department Purpose
The Program team is responsible for designing, delivering, and refining teacher professional learning programs that improve instructional practice and student achievement. The team manages partner work, provides coaching and learning support for educators and leaders, and develops research-based learning materials tailored to partner needs.
Responsibilities
- Carry out coaching cycles with educators, including classroom observations, modeling, co-teaching, data review, and actionable feedback.
- Develop and lead professional learning sessions and learning resources rooted in research-based instructional practices.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with partners, support renewals, and contribute to business development when needed.
- Use and improve internal tools, systems, and workflows that support partnership scaling, impact tracking, and strong implementation.
- Collaborate with project leads, team members, and external partners to deliver excellent program outcomes.
- Support multiple project roles as needed, depending on team and partnership demands.
Qualifications
The role requires a bachelor’s degree and substantial experience in PK-12 education, including at least two years teaching students from historically underserved backgrounds with demonstrated impact. Candidates should also bring experience working with external partners, managing workflows or service delivery, planning and executing projects, and coaching or supporting the implementation of high-quality instructional materials.
Strong knowledge of college- and career-ready math or ELA standards is needed, along with experience designing and facilitating effective professional learning for educators and managing relationships with clients or stakeholders in an education setting.
Experience with at least one of the listed ELA curricula is expected, such as Amplify ELA, ARC Core, Benchmark Advance, Bluebonnet, Bookworms, CKLA, EL Education, Fundations, Guidebooks, Heggerty, HMH Into Reading, HMH Into Literature, McGraw Hill StudySync ELA, Odell, Orton Gillingham, Savvas, Skyline, Springboard, UFLI, Wilson, or Wit and Wisdom.
Preferred Background
Preference may be given to candidates with an advanced degree, deep familiarity with the relevant curriculum’s structure and components, and experience delivering professional learning in consulting-style organizations.

Employment Details
This is a salaried full-time role. It is based in New York, NY and reports to the Senior Manager, Program. There are no supervisory responsibilities. The expected start window is August to September 2026.
The role is on-site with some remote work.
Compensation
The full annual salary range for this position is $80,000 to $121,007. The anticipated hiring range is $80,000 to $105,529, and new hires are generally capped at 105% of the midpoint of the full range, or $105,529, to allow for future growth based on performance, tenure, and organizational budget.
Additional Information
All roles are contingent on project work availability, funding, and organizational priorities. Performance expectations are aligned with annual goals set with the Home Manager and related department goals.
