About the Role
This opportunity is for a mechanical engineering expert who will help evaluate technical problems, proposed solutions, and written explanations for correctness, completeness, and sound reasoning. The role supports high-quality AI training and review work for a remote team.

What You’ll Do
- Check mechanical engineering solutions and explanations for technical accuracy, completeness, and methodological quality.
- Spot mistakes, unclear logic, missing steps, and weak reasoning, then explain your feedback clearly.
- Use consistent review standards across topics such as statics and dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mechanics of materials, and machine design.
- Align your judgments with established quality benchmarks so your reviews remain reliable and consistent.
- Help sustain a high standard of technical quality across the reviewed content.
- Work on your own, asynchronously, and meet deadlines while improving the quality of technical material.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Strong grounding in core mechanical engineering fundamentals and the ability to solve problems rigorously from first principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to detect subtle technical issues.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain why an answer is right or wrong.
- Comfort working independently and applying structured evaluation criteria in a consistent way.
- A master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Previous experience in technical review, grading, tutoring, or quality assurance is an advantage.
Compensation
This is a paid contract role at $90 per hour.
