Role overview
This position is for an NVH Lead Analyst who will support ongoing and upcoming vehicle programs for an OEM customer. The role focuses on end-to-end delivery across NVH simulation, model build, analysis, validation support, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate should bring at least 6 years of hands-on experience in NVH, with prior exposure to automotive OEM or Tier 1 environments and a proven record of delivering against program responsibilities. The role expects strong analytical ability, practical simulation knowledge, and familiarity with vehicle-level development workflows.
Experience and background
Applicants should have a B.E./B.Tech degree, preferably in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering. A diploma is not accepted for this role. Candidates with experience in vehicle-level NVH simulation, model build, assembly, testing correlation, and test data analysis will be preferred.
Technical scope
The work involves full-vehicle and subsystem NVH CAE activities, including model preparation, meshing, material assignment, debugging, preliminary analysis, result interpretation, and support for report preparation. The engineer is expected to work with tools and methods used for vehicle NVH development, benchmark studies, and design issue resolution.
Work environment
The role requires coordination with teams across Europe and India, participation in engineering discussions, and collaboration with vehicle integration teams, vendors, and development stakeholders. Knowledge of working in a VW/Skoda environment is an advantage.
Additional details
The source note requested interested candidates to share their updated resume along with current CTC, expected CTC, notice period, and location details. The stated experience level is 6+ years and the location mentioned in the JD body is Bangalore, while the header location states Pune, India.
Responsibilities
- Carry out NVH CAE meshing, model creation, and analysis for full vehicles, subsystems, and components.
- Create full-vehicle FEA models, assign material properties, debug issues, and perform early-stage analysis to anticipate outcomes.
- Use simulation techniques such as normal modes, frequency response, Porous Elastic Material (PEM), ERP, ODS, TPA, and PPF to identify concerns and drive corrective actions.
- Contribute to design solutions that address NVH-related challenges.
- Work on benchmarking of competitive powertrains and drivetrains to establish functional targets and engineering specifications.
- Support the NVH team in design reviews, validation activities, and issue resolution.
- Participate in engineering discussions with vehicle integration teams and suppliers.
- Assist with vehicle development milestone meetings.
- Prepare simulation reports, deliver presentations, and attend project meetings as required.
- Maintain alignment between simulation outcomes and CAD data.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in NVH, ideally within automotive OEM or Tier 1 environments.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong background in vehicle-level NVH simulation, model build, and assembly.
- Hands-on experience with full vehicle build, trim BIW build, NTF, VTF, modal analysis, mobility, ERP, ODS, TPA, PPF, and Porous Elastic Material (PEM).
- Working knowledge of Nastran, Optistruct, and Ansa/Meta.
- Exposure to testing, result correlation, and test data analysis.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with teams across Europe and India.
- Understanding of legislation and its implementation in CAE.
- Familiarity with VW/Skoda work environments is desirable.
Eligibility
Suitable for candidates with a B.Tech/B.E. in any specialization or any graduate qualification as mentioned in the source. The role specifically states that a B.E./B.Tech is mandatory and diploma holders are not eligible.
