At the start, you will be paired with an experienced colleague from another station in the same role, giving you a dedicated contact person and helping you get to know the roadsurfer spirit beyond your own location.

Your role

• Work with central departments and your local team to help build up the station and keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
• Improve existing processes and bring in your own ideas, for example around vehicle handovers and returns.
• Collaborate closely with roadsurfer teams in other countries and continuously enhance workflows.
• Lead the team with empathy, clear communication, and a supportive approach that creates clarity, encourages performance, and enables growth.
• Support recruiting efforts and help build a team of people who share your enthusiasm.
• Oversee the vehicle fleet, ensure it remains in good condition, and coordinate local service partners.
• Advise customers confidently on products such as myroadsurfer, abo, spots, and rent so they can enjoy a great roadsurfer experience.

What you need

• Completed vocational training or a degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 1–2 years of work experience, ideally in car rental, tourism, or a similar area; career changers are welcome.
• Initial team leadership experience is an advantage, but what matters most is empathetic communication and the ability to create a work environment that brings clarity, supports development, and enables people to work independently.
• Strong customer and service orientation, along with an open and friendly personality.
• A practical, solution-focused way of working.
• Very good German and English skills.
• Valid driving licence class B.

Compensation

The annual gross salary range for this role is EUR 39,000 to EUR 44,000.

roadsurfer is introducing salary bands to ensure fair treatment across the company. During the hiring process, the company will assess your skills and experience more closely and together determine which level within the band fits best. Salary is reviewed at least once per year during the annual feedback discussion.
