Operator, Production Assembly

Role overview

This position is for a Production Operator in Grundfos Singapore. The role reports to the Team Leader for Production Assembly and works closely with production engineers to deliver prompt technical support while building a strong understanding of pump products used across multiple assembly lines.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out assigned production tasks according to work orders, instructions, and standard operating procedures, while using machinery and equipment in a safe and correct manner.
• Spot and escalate quality concerns right away, including defective parts or problems found during final testing or inspection, and assist in resolving items that do not meet requirements.
• Review the production bill of materials and report any inconsistencies or errors to the line leader so they can be corrected.
• Apply approved assembly and testing techniques throughout the manufacturing process.
• Perform routine maintenance on production equipment in line with the scheduled maintenance plan.
• Maintain a tidy work area and follow all company requirements related to safety and environmental compliance.
• Raise equipment concerns to the appropriate supervisor whenever maintenance or calibration is needed to help prevent failures, downtime, or inaccurate output.
• Contribute to process improvement efforts and support efficiency initiatives, including the use of systems such as SAP when required.
• Follow 5S practices and comply with safety policies, safe work procedures, and hazard risk assessments at all times.

Background and experience

The company is looking for someone with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a minimum qualification of GCE O-Level, SPM or an equivalent credential, or a Nitec qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
