Role overview
This is a permanent postal delivery position based at Pershore Delivery Office, WR10 2XX. The role involves representing Royal Mail in the local community by sorting and delivering letters and parcels, using both a van and on foot.
Pay and working pattern
The pay rate is £13.68 per hour, with wages paid monthly. The job is scheduled for 30 hours per week across 5 days out of 7, Monday through Sunday, with 2 rest days. The usual shift window is 07:30 to 15:30. The rota can change depending on demand, and some weekends are included. Sundays must be worked at Worcester Delivery Office.
Key duties
You will begin by sorting mail at the delivery office and then complete local rounds delivering post and parcels by van and on foot. The job includes regular customer contact, outdoor work in all weather conditions, and delivering items that matter to households and businesses.
The position can be physically demanding and time-sensitive, with long walking distances, daily van driving, and busy workloads during peak periods.

Candidate profile

Training and equipment
Full training is provided, along with a uniform and a Royal Mail van.
