Prep Cook

Role overview

We are looking to fill a full-time Prep Cook opening with Eurest in Bel Aire, Kansas. The kitchen operates on an on-site schedule, and applications are accepted only online. This role supports food preparation and customer service in line with applicable federal, state, and local food safety rules and standards.

Schedule and compensation

This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, with hours that can vary; additional details will be shared during the interview. The pay rate is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. An internal employee referral bonus is available.

What you will do

The prep cook will work from the daily production plan provided by the chef, prepare menu items using standard recipes and production quantities, and help ensure food quality, proper temperatures, and portion control. The role also includes working customer orders with quick turnaround, serving food at different stations, handling steam table and grill orders, and resolving customer concerns in a professional manner.

You will also be responsible for cleaning and operating kitchen equipment, completing production and waste logs, maintaining storage, labeling and dating practices, following HACCP guidance, and completing all required reports and documentation. Other assigned duties may be included as needed.

Food safety and workplace standards

All work must follow company sanitation procedures, health regulations, and food safety practices. The employer notes that qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Certain roles may require Florida Level 2 background screening. The workplace is drug-free.
