Presales Engineer (Cloud & IT Solutions)

Role overview

We are looking for a Presales Engineer to partner with the sales function and shape cloud and enterprise IT proposals that align with client requirements. This position is focused on building practical, value-driven solutions that help win business and support successful delivery.

What you'll do

• Work closely with sales to understand customer needs and translate them into scalable, commercially sensible solutions.
• Create solution designs spanning cloud, infrastructure, and security domains.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demos, and proof-of-concept sessions to prospective clients.
• Prepare technical proposal materials such as architecture visuals, solution write-ups, and pricing estimates.
• Liaise with vendors, distributors, and internal stakeholders to confirm solution fit and pricing accuracy.
• Support the preparation of RFP and RFI responses, Statements of Work, and related implementation documents.
• Validate solution practicality together with delivery and engineering teams.
• Keep up to date with cloud technologies, industry developments, and competitor solutions.
• Use tools that improve proposal speed and quality.
• Take part in knowledge sharing, certifications, and technical upskilling activities.

Requirements

• A background in a technical discipline or similar relevant education.
• Prior experience in presales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting for cloud or IT services.
• Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms, with AWS preferred and Azure or GCP as an advantage.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical approaches.
• Hands-on experience with proposal development, costing, and solution architecture.
• Confident verbal and written communication, along with strong presentation ability.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, sales-driven environment.
• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or Cloud Operations are preferred.
• Experience with managed service providers, cloud migration, or managed services will be helpful.
• Exposure to security, monitoring, or observability tools is a plus.
