Role summary
An opportunity is available for a contract Private Equity Analyst to support a client’s investment team. The position is fully remote and open to candidates working from anywhere in Ireland or elsewhere, depending on suitability for the role. The work centers on assessing investment opportunities, carrying out due diligence, and turning analysis into practical recommendations that improve portfolio outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out detailed financial and operational due diligence on both prospective and current portfolio investments.
- Assess new investment opportunities through market research, valuation analysis, and risk evaluation.
- Partner with senior leaders to shape and execute value-creation plans for portfolio businesses.
- Track performance across portfolio companies and communicate important metrics to stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Help with fundraising activities by preparing investment memoranda, presentations, and supporting materials.
Skills and experience needed
The ideal candidate should bring strong private equity knowledge, along with the ability to analyze businesses, identify opportunities for improvement, and present clear recommendations to senior decision-makers. A solid background in financial analysis and transaction evaluation is essential.
- At least 5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or a similar financial advisory function.
- Advanced capability in financial modeling, valuation methods, and due diligence workflows.
- Comfort working with complex financial statements and spotting operational improvement opportunities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for senior-level presentations.
- Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial software applications.
Compensation
The contract pays between $30 and $65 per hour.
