Role overview
This part-time procurement position in Dubai combines office-based collaboration with the flexibility of working from home. The person in this role will manage the full purchasing cycle, from identifying and assessing vendors to closing orders and following up on delivery performance.
Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for coordinating procurement activities across the business, making sure buying decisions are cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with operational needs.
- Identify suitable suppliers and manage the sourcing process from start to finish.
- Collect, review, and compare quotations before making recommendations.
- Create, process, and monitor purchase orders through completion.
- Assess vendor suitability and track supplier quality, pricing, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and pricing to secure favorable outcomes.
- Work with internal teams to understand requirements and improve procurement workflows.
- Keep procurement documentation accurate and up to date.
- Monitor budgets and support efforts to reduce spending where possible.
- Prepare routine reports and updates for management review.
- Ensure procurement activities follow company rules and standards.
Required background and capabilities
The role calls for a strong procurement foundation, good commercial judgment, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a flexible environment.
- Hands-on experience in procurement, vendor sourcing, and supplier management.
- Ability to evaluate suppliers and choose partners based on quality, price, and reliability.
- Solid negotiation skills for contracts and commercial agreements.
- Good analytical thinking for comparing costs, reviewing market conditions, and supporting decisions.
- Familiarity with procurement platforms, ERP systems, and standard purchasing practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders well.
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail, especially when handling confidential commercial information.
- Exposure to regional or international procurement, along with knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, is considered an advantage.
