The firm works closely with clients to produce durable, high-value outcomes across a broad range of business functions. Its expertise spans project management, quantitative risk analysis, organizational change management, project controls, enterprise reporting, estimating, asset management, and system implementation for capital projects. The team uses years of project experience to design tailored solutions for complex client challenges.
Role Overview
The company is looking for a Consultant to join its growing and high-performing team. This is a mid-level opportunity rather than an entry-level role. The position is intended for a professional with 3 to 5 years of practical experience in project management, project controls, or a related discipline who wants to advance in a dynamic consulting setting.
In this role, you will collaborate with senior consultants and project teams to help plan, execute, and deliver client engagements across different industries and project types. The work requires a solid understanding of project management practices, strong analytical thinking, clear communication, and the ability to contribute proactively in a client-facing environment.
This is a full-time position based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and requires working onsite; it is not a remote role.
Responsibilities
- Assess how client solution implementations affect the business and clearly explain those impacts.
- Research information, review data, and identify practical insights and opportunities.
- Organize and run stakeholder meetings to define requirements and keep project goals aligned with client expectations.
- Prepare reports, schedules, and presentations that communicate progress and outcomes to clients, internal leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Partner with internal teams to understand both technical and business needs and help projects move forward smoothly.
- Own selected workstreams, including reviewing client environments and shaping modernization approaches and project plans.
- Track project scope, timing, and quality to make sure deliverables meet required standards.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify, assign, and manage project resources.
- Provide end-user training to support adoption of delivered solutions.
- Help stakeholders transition to new systems, processes, and ways of working through structured workshops.
- Offer guidance and recommendations to support successful organizational change management.
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as a dependable advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
- Respond quickly to client questions, resolve concerns, and suggest appropriate solutions.
- Take part in client meetings and present updates, recommendations, and solution ideas.
- Assist in developing and drafting client proposals.
- Support mentoring and learning activities that contribute to internal growth.
- Handle special tasks assigned by senior leadership.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in project management, project controls, consulting, or a closely connected field.
- This is not a beginner role; proven hands-on experience is necessary.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or a similar discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Working familiarity with project management methods and frameworks.
- Experience in a client-facing or professional services environment is considered an advantage.
- Background in energy, infrastructure, capital projects, or regulated industries is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, including the capacity to gather, interpret, and combine information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in reports and presentations.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with project tools such as MS Project, Primavera, Smartsheet, or comparable software is a plus.
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to manage several priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Self-driven and proactive, with a genuine interest in building a consulting career in project management.
- Willingness to travel when needed.
- Ability to work outside standard business hours when required.
- Must already be based in Toronto, Ontario, or be prepared to relocate independently.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
