About the Role
This position is for an experienced Project Manager to support a high-priority government initiative centered on moving application systems into Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) and Government Data Centre (GDC) environments.
The role carries responsibility for overseeing the complete project lifecycle, keeping delivery on schedule, and working closely with stakeholders across functions to ensure successful execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct software project delivery from start to finish while keeping client expectations, project objectives, and timelines in sync.
- Manage the transition of application systems from on-premises infrastructure into GCC and GDC environments.
- Create detailed plans for the project, including milestones, schedules, and staffing or resource needs.
- Track progress, identify delivery risks early, and handle issues as they come up.
- Coordinate with internal teams, outside vendors, and government stakeholders to keep implementation running smoothly.
- Maintain project records and documentation in line with governance standards and audit expectations.
- Oversee change requests, user acceptance testing planning, and rollout/implementation timelines.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience working as a Software Project Manager.
- Hands-on experience migrating systems from on-premises setups to GCC/GDC environments.
- Strong capability in project governance, documentation control, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to obtain CAT2A clearance is mandatory.
- Exposure to public sector IT standards and procedures will be an advantage.
- PMP certification, or an equivalent qualification, is preferred.
