The employer is an Indian non-banking financial company (NBFC) focused on financial services operations.
Role Overview
This position is for a Quality Head responsible for driving process excellence, strengthening quality controls, and supporting continuous improvement across business operations in Chennai.
Process Excellence and Standardization
- Review current operating workflows to spot inefficiencies and areas where processes can be streamlined, while keeping a detailed log of improvement opportunities.
- Create, update, and maintain standard operating procedures so that work is carried out consistently and in line with business requirements.
- Work with operations teams to reduce process variation, lower rework, and improve turnaround times, and raise recurring concerns to the Head of Quality.
Quality Assurance and Performance Management
- Monitor important quality metrics to confirm adherence to defined standards and business goals.
- Carry out regular quality checks and sample-based operational audits, ensuring all findings and records are properly documented.
- Use internal quality scorecards to assess departmental performance and share practical recommendations for improvement.
- Support ongoing improvement efforts, including Kaizen-driven activities, to raise efficiency and service quality.
Quality Improvement Projects
- Assist in designing and delivering quality improvement projects using structured methods such as DMAIC.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement improvement initiatives successfully.
- Track project progress, schedules, and outcomes, and provide status updates to the Head of Quality on a regular basis.
Change Implementation and Process Adoption
- Help introduce new processes, policies, and quality programs across business units.
- Encourage strong adoption of process changes by coordinating closely with stakeholders and operational teams.
- Identify implementation challenges and resolve operational issues to support smooth rollouts.
Training, Awareness, and Quality Culture
- Conduct basic training sessions on quality principles, process excellence, and operational best practices.
- Work with departmental Quality Champions to strengthen quality standards and sustain improvement efforts.
- Build awareness of SOPs, First Time Right practices, and quality expectations through dashboards, visual tools, communication initiatives, and digital learning content.
