Role OverviewThe Quality Incharge Lead will own project quality governance for construction and infrastructure work, ensuring that execution meets ISO 9001 expectations, contractual commitments, approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable codes. This role provides direction to quality teams across multiple sites and supports consistent quality performance from planning through handover.Quality Management & StrategyCreate and implement project-level quality control plans, procedures, and standards that align with ISO 9001 and contract requirements.Set quality targets, performance indicators, and monitoring systems across all construction operations.Guide QA/QC teams strategically across more than one project location.Inspection, Testing & ComplianceManage inspection and testing for civil, electrical, and mechanical scope so that work follows approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes.Evaluate and sign off on Inspection & Test Plans, method statements, and quality checklists.Make sure important tests and inspections are witnessed and approved on time.Material & Vendor Quality ControlSet up processes for vendor qualification, incoming material checks, and supplier quality control.Examine Material Inspection Reports, test certificates, and compliance records.Resolve supplier-related quality concerns and ensure corrective actions are carried out.Non-Conformance & Corrective Action ManagementDirect the NCR workflow, including root-cause investigation and execution of corrective and preventive actions.Track non-conformance patterns and push improvements that prevent recurring issues.Client Interface & AuditsServe as the main quality contact for clients, consultants, and third-party inspectors.Plan and lead client, internal, and certification audits.Close audit findings promptly and maintain ongoing compliance.Documentation & Quality RecordsMaintain complete and accurate quality files such as inspection logs, test reports, and final quality dossiers.Oversee as-built records and project handover documentation.Team Leadership & DevelopmentSupervise, coach, and build capability within QA/QC engineers, inspectors, and site quality personnel.Carry out performance evaluations and support skill development through training and knowledge sharing.Continuous Improvement & Risk ManagementIdentify quality risks early and introduce preventive controls across the project lifecycle.Promote lessons learned, process improvements, and adoption of best practices.Work closely with construction and engineering teams to reduce rework and improve productivity.Qualifications & ExperienceA bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical; a master’s degree is an added advantage.15 to 24 years of progressive experience in quality management within EPC, infrastructure, power, or renewable energy projects.Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.Core CompetenciesLeadership of quality management systemsStakeholder and client coordinationAudit planning and compliance oversightRoot-cause analysis and CAPA handlingTeam leadership and coachingRisk-based quality planning
