Job Summary
This role is for a people-focused recruiter who can help source and hire strong talent for cultivation and wholesale operations. You will work closely with facility leaders such as operations directors, HR managers, and department heads to keep hiring organized, fair, and aligned with production requirements. The position supports hiring for both entry-level production roles and more experienced management positions, while managing the full hiring journey from staffing discussions and job advertisements through ongoing candidate updates, so both applicants and hiring teams have a strong experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Talent Acquisition function across the full hiring cycle, including publishing vacancies, screening resumes, and working within the applicant tracking system.
- Create and distribute job advertisements through multiple channels, including internal social platforms and local job fairs, to meet large-scale hiring needs.
- Identify, evaluate, and narrow down candidates who can succeed in a fast-moving, regulated work setting.
- Conduct early-stage phone screens to assess fit while keeping applicants informed about their status and next steps.
- Maintain clear, timely communication so every candidate receives a positive and professional hiring experience.
- Coordinate between applicants and on-site leaders to keep interviews scheduled smoothly and time management efficient.
- Join regular staffing discussions with facility leadership to anticipate hiring demand based on production changes and harvest timing.
- Share interview feedback and hiring recommendations with managers so recruitment supports both operational needs and company culture.
- Travel as much as 25% to visit facilities, observe operations, and build trusted relationships with site leadership.
- Keep applicant tracking and HR records accurate and current.
- Follow all applicable state cannabis rules related to age limits, background screening, and agent badging.
- Handle other assigned responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
The position calls for at least 2 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a busy, high-volume environment such as manufacturing, retail, logistics, sales, or hospitality. Candidates must also be willing to travel up to 25% within the operating markets of LA, MO, AR, and MS.
Education & Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related area is preferred.
Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
